I will participate in the 90th Annual Convention of the Japanese Psychological Association, a major platform for interdisciplinary and international psychological research addressing contemporary mental health and trauma.
As a licensed counseling psychologist, a doctoral candidate in counseling psychology, and a practicing art therapist, my work integrates Psychodynamic Theory, Trauma Studies, and Art Therapy. My poster examines how traumatized children use art for unconscious expression and psychological transformation.
My primary goal is to deepen the integration of psychodynamic and trauma-informed frameworks, particularly symbolization and emotional regulation. I also aim to situate my research within broader discussions of resilience and socio-cultural influences on recovery.
Additionally, I seek to incorporate cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives, including links between clinical practice and emerging research. Presenting will allow me to refine my framework and gain feedback.
This participation will strengthen my research, international engagement, and the development of trauma-informed art therapy practice.
