Cell reprogramming is a versatile and powerful technique that has a potential to revolutionize in medical fields. Its ability to manipulate cellular identity and function offers solutions to various challenges in healthcare and provides unprecedented opportunities for advancing our understanding of biology and developing innovative therapies using the improved cells. Unlike viral methods, physical methods involve the direct manipulation of cells without the introduction of foreign genetic material which offers better safety and lower ethical risk while clinical utilizing. Here, we propose a nanotube stamping system designed for precise and efficient cell reprogramming (Fig.1). Leveraging the unique properties of nanotubes, our system1-2 offers a versatile and scalable platform for manipulating cellular identity with potential applications in tissue engineering, disease modeling, and personalized medicine. Through this system, OCT-4 protein has been delivered to NIH-3T3 fibroblast cells which then were induced into blood stem cells. Both morphological changes and antibody labeling demonstrate changes in cell identity and function. In addition, this platform is under using for exploring more direct reprogramming routes and redifferentiating induced pluripotent cells, striving to contribute to physical reprogramming and regenerative medicine.
