The frequency dependence of the dielectric dispersions (dielectric constant (Dk) and dissipation factor (Df)) of eleven types of polyimides (PIs) was measured in the range of 25 GHz to 330 GHz by combining three types of Fabry-Perot resonators. As the frequency increased, all PIs showed a gradual decrease in Dk and a linear increase in Df. The decrease in Dk is thought to be due to its approach to the square values of the refractive indices of each PI reflecting the electronic polarization. The increase in Df demonstrated a negative correlation with the proportion of polar groups (dipolar polarization) included in each PI. Notably, PIs containing -CF3 groups exhibited a rapid increase in Df, suggesting the influence of unique absorption peaks in the THz domain.
