[17a-M_374-1]Spin-Pumping-Induced Spin Accumulation and Non-local Spin Detection in Microfabricated Pt/CoFe/n-GaAs Structures

We report the dynamical spin injection and the nonlocal detection in a microfabricated Pt/CoFe/n-GaAs heterostructure using spin pumping driven by spin-orbit torque (SOT)-ferromagnetic resonance (FMR). The application of radio frequency current to the Pt/CoFe bilayer electrode induced magnetization precession in CoFe through the SOT, resulting in the spin accumulation in the GaAs channel. The spin accumulation in the GaAs was detected electrically using a CoFe electrode with non-local geometry at 77 K. The symmetric Lorentzian voltage component retains the same sign for opposite magnetic field polarities, confirming spin-pumping-induced spin accumulation.
