In this work, we developed a 100 W-level (before compression) 1.06 µm ultrafast fiber amplifier operating at a repetition rate of 1 MHz. By adopting a high-gain fiber amplifier module, the total system volume was significantly simplified. This laser system is expected to enhance the VUV conversion efficiency while reducing the required pulse energy at a given average power, thereby improving the practicality of VUV sources for ARPES and related applications.
