The Purcell effect describes the enhancement of spontaneous emission of quantum emitters inside an
optical cavity. In this work, we propose an analytical model that predicts the Purcell enhancement on metasurfaces with spectral parameters. This model provides an intuitive understanding of the underlying mechanisms of the Purcell effect and provides a practical and accessible method for directly analyzing the nearfield light-matter interaction on experimental metasurfaces.
