Focusing on the environmental issues, the development of mechanical properties of recycled plastics is a challenging point for prolonging of their lifetime used. In this study, recycled polyethylene was re-extrusion via a novel mechanical recycling process. Interestingly, yield stress and tensile fracture stress were significantly improved than its original sample. The relationship between the improvement of mechanical properties and the changes of lamellar structures will be discussed in details.
