本シンポジウムは、さきがけ「合成と制御」において見いだされた革新的有機合成手法、新規高分子創成、機能性ナノ錯体、分子エレクトロニクス材料、生物有機化学手法などが、この二十年の間にどのように社会実装され、化学と社会を変えてきたか、変えてゆくかを議論する。有機化学、触媒科学、天然物化学、高分子科学、ケミカルバイオロジー、材料科学の各分野の第一線で活躍する「さきがけ卒業生」が研究の核心を語る。未来を拓く合成化学とその制御の視座を参加者と共有し、学際的交流と新たな研究展開、より佳い世界への社会変革を促進する。
