【ハイライト講演】沈み込み帯のスラブ―マントル境界に分布する蛇紋岩は，プレート境界の力学特性を左右する重要な岩石であるが，その変形メカニズムの深度依存性はよくわかっていない．永冶氏は，蛇紋石の結晶配向と変形様式について，野外調査・室内実験・地球物理観測を統合した研究を精力的に展開してきた．本講演では，天然蛇紋岩の微細組織からアンチゴライトCPOの形成機構と深度依存性を読み解き，粒界すべりや溶解・沈殿と深部スロー地震との関係に迫る．  ※ハイライト講演とは．．．
