Submission Open Date and Deadline

Abstract submissions open: 12:00(JST), March 15, 2026
Abstract submissions close: 22:00(JST), April 26, 2026

Qualification for Submission

We are pleased to invite individual papers(single presentation) and panels (themed session) for the 39th JASAS annual conference. Each individual paper will be allotted a time of 15 minutes with 10 minutes for discussion. Each panel will be allotted a time of maximum 100 minutes. Individual papers and panels may be delivered in Japanese or English.

Note:

In principle, only JASAS members are permitted to submit an abstract for an individual paper. In the case of presenting the results of collaborative research involving non-JASAS members, only JASAS members should present the results. However, non-JASAS member(s) can be listed as co-author(s) in the abstract.

Panel convenors must be JASAS members. As for panel presentations, non-member researchers may be accepted as invited presenters as long as they do not exceed half of the total number of presenters. Every member of the JASAS and applicants for admission to the JASAS are welcome to submit either an abstract for an individual paper or to propose a panel.

Abstract Format

1. Individual presentation abstracts should be completed using the "individual presentation template" (template) and panel proposals should be completed using the "panel template" (template) in Japanese or English.

2. Abstracts or Proposals should be completed on the instruction of the notes in each template.
Note: The abstracts in an another format will not be screened.

3. Both of a Microsoft Word file and a PDF file of abstract should be uploaded to the "Abstract Submissions and Corrections" on the conference website at "Call for Papers" page (coming soon).

4. You can submit since 12:00(JST), March 15, 2026 to 22:00(JST), April 26, 2026.

Note: The submission system will automatically close on the deadline. Please make sure to register early.

5. You can log into our Web site over and over during the above-mentioned period and replace your file. Replacement of file will not be accepted after the deadline.

Notification of the Result

The abstract submitter will be notified the result after screening process by the end of May, 2026, by an E-mail to the inputted E-mail address.

JASAS will issue a letter of invitation upon request for those who need to apply for and obtain a visa to enter Japan. JASAS cannot provide any additional assistance in obtaining a visa, other than providing personalized invitation letters.
