Field Training Program (Excursion) Announcement
The Japan Society for International Development (JASID) 27th Spring Conference will organize a field trip (excursion) on Sunday, June 28, as outlined below.
- Objective
To learn about the practices of the Transition town movement, which promotes living in connection with all forms of life on Earth under the motto: “What truly matters is found close to home.” - Destination

(Includes lunch prepared with locally produced organic vegetables in Fujino and transportation by microbus from Fujino Station. Transportation costs from participants’ nearest station to Fujino Station are not included and must be covered individually.) - Application and Payment Deadline

(1) Cancellation Policy
No refunds will be issued after application and payment are completed. In case of cancellation due to organizer circumstances or unavoidable events, the full fee will be refunded.
(2) Luggage Restrictions
Large luggage such as suitcases is not allowed. Please use coin lockers at major stations before arriving. Note that Fujino Station does not have coin lockers.
(3) Further Information
Detailed information, including emergency contact details, will be sent via email in June using the email addresses registered through Confit.
(4) Note for non-Japanese speakers: Please also note that this excursion will be conducted in Japanese language. If needed, members from organizing committee will make best efforts to translate some key information, but they also need to attend other logistical matters. Therefore, it is requested that non-Japanese speaking participants use their own device for translation.
