- Participants in this convention must enter the campus through the “East Gate.”
- Please note that other organizations’ events are scheduled to take place at Toyo University (Hakusan Campus) on the same dates. To help alleviate congestion, separate entrance gates have been designated for each group.
- You will need an “Entry Pass” to enter the campus.

*1 : Room 1 (8B11) and 6 (1201) may be used as Break Area only during times when no sessions are in progress.

The Convention will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and online participation.

How to Participate In-Person
<Registration>
All participants must register and pay the fee in advance. On-site registration and payment are not available. Please complete your registration and payment online before arriving at the venue. You can register even during the exhibition period.
<Participation>
- Please log in to your Confit account and print out the participation badge (it will be available for printing from late August). If you forgot the printed badge, please inquire at the reception desk.
- The participation badge includes an image of the “entry pass” required to enter Toyo University's Hakusan Campus.
- Please place your participation badge in the designated badge holder and wear it visibly at all times during the convention.
- "Language badges" will be distributed at various locations throughout the venue.Place a badge on your name tag to show the languages you can speak.
Note: The QR code for the “JPA Anti-Harassment Statement” is on the participation badge. After reading the Statement, please check the corresponding box.
<Entry Pass>
To enter the Toyo University Hakusan Campus, the in-person venue, you must present an entry pass.
Please present your “Entry Pass (PDF)” on your smartphone or other device, or print it out and bring it with you. The image of the entry pass is also printed on the participant badge.
<Onsite Procedures>
- If you have brought your own badge, you will receive a badge holder at the venue.
- If you do not have your printed badge, please visit the Reception Desk (Bldg8 1F) to receive a new badge.
- If you are an invited guest, please visit the Reception Desk located at (Bldg8 1F) to receive your badge.
<Accompanying Persons>
- The following individuals may attend the convention as an accompanying person by submitting an application in advance. The participation fee will be waived:
- Family members of participants who are junior high school students or younger
- Individuals assisting participants withdisability, injury, illness, pregnancy, etc.
- Parents or guardians of minor participants.
- Any other person approved by the Convention’s Organizing Committee
- If you wish to apply to be an accompanying person, please register in advance using the form below.
[Accompanying Person Registration Form] - Accompanying persons should check in at the Reception Desk (Bldg8 1F) on the day of the Convention to receive a participation badge.
- The accompanying person may enter the venue where the main attendee participates or makes a presentation, but they are not permitted to participate in the Q&A or discussions.
<About the venue>
- Please be mindful of the rights of others such as portrait rights and copyrights of presented materials. Recording audio or video, and taking photographs during a presentation is expressly prohibited without prior consent from the presenter. The Organizing Committee and the Secretariat of the event will be filming and taking photographs in the event halls.
- For lunch, please use the cafeteria or co-op on campus, or nearby restaurants.

-co-op : 11:00-15:00 - You may eat food you bring with you in the student cafeteria (Bldg6, B1 F), as well as in any of the classrooms at the venue.
- Please use the designated trash cans for the convention. Do not use the university's regular trash cans.
- No paging service will be provided within the venue.
- Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) will be available at the venue. Please check “Wireless Connection (Wi-Fi) Information” for details. *Wireless LAN connections are prone to instability due to the large number of users and is not suitable for online meeting connections such as Zoom. Bringing your own router is recommended.
- On-campus parking lots and bicycle parking areas are not available for participants.
- Smoking is prohibited in the venue.
- Unauthorized sales or commercial advertisements are forbidden.
- Please be aware that some lectures will be recorded and may be made publicly available as an archive at a later date at the discretion of the organizer.
<Childcare facility>
Childcare will be provided for participants during the Convention period by reservation only. Applications will be accepted from noon on Tuesday, July 21, until Tuesday, August 25, 2026. For more details, please refer to “Information on childcare facility”.
<Networking Event>
A networking event will be held at the "Sky hall" from 18:30 to 20:30 on September 4 (Friday), the first day of the Convention. For details, please refer to the "Networking Event".
How to participate online
Online content can be accessed and viewed on the conference website. A password is required to access the online content. The password will be provided to registered participants by email.
Abstracts of presentations, PDF files of papers and digital posters for poster presentations will be available on Monday, August 24.
Videos of on-demand presentations will be available on Friday, September 4.
<Viewing>

You can view PDF files, digital posters, and videos of lectures and symposia anytime during the convention and for an extended period afterward. Videos will be uploaded as they become available.
<Question and Answer Session>
- On-demand presentations will have a questions and answers (Q&A) section where you can ask presenters questions using a comment box on each presentation's page.
- The Q&A session will be open during the Convention (from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6). The comment box will remain available until Friday, October 30. Please note that that presenters may not be able to reply to every question.

<Reasonable Accommodations>
The convention is committed to ensuring that all participants are respected and that information is accessible to everyone, regardless of disability.
As part of this effort, we will indicate in the program when on-demand videos have subtitles. We also ask all presenters to use clear, textual information in their screen-sharing materials and to be mindful of color schemes to enhance accessibility.
<Handouts>
- The convention program will not be printed as a booklet. For more information about the program, please refer to the Annual Convention’s webpage.
- A floor plan will be distributed at the venue. The floor plan includes the maps for the Exhibition, event halls, and schedules of real-time events.
- The Proceedings of the Annual Convention will be published after the Convention. The date and the price of the publication will be sent out to participants and JPA members once these become available.
<Receipts for Participation Fee, Participation Badge (Certificate of Participation), and Certificate of Presentation>
- Receipts for the participation fee can be downloaded from your Confit account.
- The participation badge can be downloaded from your Confit account from late August.
