Incorporating the seafloor landslide anticipated in the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake into tsunami predictions

In the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake, tsunamis were generated by seafloor landslides and arrived earlier than expected. Future tsunami predictions should take into account the occurrence of tsunamis due to seafloor landslides.

Senior high school students provide poster presentations on subjects in fields of earth and planetary sciences. This session provides an opportunity for senior high school students to give their presentations in the JpGU meeting and to have discussions with researchers. This session has been conducted as a public outreach session since 2006.
