“Into the Core – Live at JpGU–AGU 2026” is a special live recording event of the interview series Into the Core, organized by the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP), to be held at the venue of the JpGU–AGU Joint Meeting 2026.
Into the Core is an official ICDP project that introduces researchers involved in continental scientific drilling through interviews, covering the background of their research, the process of launching projects, their field experiences, and their personal perspectives. These interviews are usually recorded, edited, and released online; however, in this event, they will be conducted as a live recording session at the conference venue.
Through dialogue with researchers who have led ICDP projects, this event aims to promote intergenerational exchange among researchers, while also sharing the appeal of drilling science with conference participants and the general public.
