[EV-18-01]Dagik Earth as a tool of education and public outreach

*Akinori Saito1 (1. Kyoto University)
“Dagik Earth” is a digital 3D globe system that enables easy three-dimensional visualization of the Earth and other planets. Displays on 2-meter or 4-meter spheres are highly impressive, allowing viewers to experience the Earth as seen from space.

In this workshop, we will introduce the necessary equipment and methods for creating original content, based on two use cases:
(1) school classes and cultural festivals, and
(2) outreach events at universities and research institutions.

This workshop is open to science clubs and teachers from elementary, junior high, and high schools, as well as those involved in public exhibitions at universities and research institutions who are seeking effective ways to present their work.
