In a previous presentation, we discussed the complementary nature of the DOI and the identifier used by the Virtual Observatory (IVOID) for identifying and describing datasets in astronomy.
Here, we will describe how we intend to take advantage of the advanced interoperability developed within the International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA) to enrich the landing page by linking it to the IVOA and Heliophysics data access resources. In addition, the Virtual Observatory (VO) offers a rich metadata dictionary that enables scientific characterization and the possibility of cross-referencing with other scientific data.
The landing page will be enriched using JSONLD (machine-readable) tags, which enable standardized links between elements to be described. To ensure that these blocks are understood by machines using the most universal standards possible, we will describe the datasets, catalogs, and access services using the DCAT standard. We will present our experience in expressing several data collections and their access with DCAT, as well as SKG-IF, carried out within the European OSTrails project.
