Biogeoscience,Roadmap
Biogeoscience is an interdisciplinary field that seeks to understand the Earth’s activities through biological processes, and it has developed through close integration between Earth science and life science. In recent years, the boundaries among natural sciences have become increasingly blurred, while life science in particular has made remarkable progress, providing new perspectives and approaches relevant to biogeoscience. In this context, efforts have recently begun toward the formulation of a new long-term “yume (dream) roadmap” for the future development of biogeoscience. In this presentation, we will introduce the ongoing work toward this roadmap and present an interim overview of the concepts and directions currently under consideration.
