適正な咬合状態の維持・構築は，補綴治療はもとより歯科全般における本質的な課題である．しかし，その最も基本的な要素である咬合の安定性についてさえ，十分な理解は得られているとは言い難い．本シンポジウムでは，これまで議論が十分ではなかった動的な観点から，咬合力が加わった状態での下顎変位を勘案して，咬合支持の状態が生体（顎関節や咀嚼筋）に及ぼす影響を検討し，安定した咬合に関する理解と臨床での実践の広がりへと繋げたい．
