補綴歯科専門医の専門性担保のために経験すべき難症例の病態の一つに「顎機能障害（顎関節症）」があり、「症状に応じた口腔内装置の製作や装着」や「口腔内装置の咬合接触状態などを診断できること」が専門性の高い臨床技能として挙げられている。今回、日本顎関節学会による「顎関節症治療の指針」および「顎関節症初期治療診療ガイドライン2023改訂版」の紹介と共に顎関節症のリフレッシュとアップデートを提供する。
