In recent years, carbon-based materials have been employed as an anode in Li-ion batteries (LIBs), and the development of a novel anode material with high capacity and rate of charge and discharge is required to improve the performance of LIB. We fabricated a novel anode modified with a longer vertically aligned carbon nanotube (VACNT) by the multi-step synthesis method, and investigated the charge-discharge performance of its electrodes to clarify the relationship between the CNT length and electrode capacity.
