To utilize the semiconductor properties of SWCNTs, it is essential to introduce techniques to separate and extract semiconducting SWCNTs with high purity. Recently, our group has developed the ELF methods of semiconducting/metallic SWCNT separation using an electric field. Then we have investigated the separation mechanism and evaluated the properties of SWCNT thin-film transistors. In this study, we investigated the effect of the cylinder diameter of separator to improve the purity of semiconducting SWCNTs in semiconducting/metallic SWCNT separation by ELF method.
