In living organisms, temperature plays an important role in biological phenomena such as in biological energy metabolism. To investigate the effects of temperature changes on biological functions, it is necessary to develop technology to simultaneously measure local temperature and chemical substances in living organisms, cells, and organs. To this end, we are developing miniature fibers with integrated thermal and chemical sensors that can be applied to living organisms by combining thermocouple and chemical sensing technologies using thermal stretching technology.
