The electrostrictive constants 2d(ij)K and the nonlinear dielectric constants εT(ijk) defined in d-form can be determined independently from other nonlinear constants by measuring the change in dielectric constant εT(ij) measured under constant stress conditions as a function of applied stress and electric field, respectively. The uncertainty arising from measurement errors in other constants is eliminated in the determination of the constants.
This time, the electrostrictive constant and nonlinear dielectric constant of LiNbO3 single crystal under constant stress defined by the d-form were re-measured by employing the dynamic measurement method as well. The nonlinear constants in the e-form reported in [1] were converted to nonlinear constants in the d-form for comparison.
