The electric field of light enhanced by plasmon-resonance exist at the gaps or junctions between gold or silver nanoparticles (NPs) or nanowires (NWs) dimers. Such locations are called hot spots (HSs). Nonlinear optical effects at the HS become detectable even with continuous wave (cw) light excitation due to the strong electric field enhancement. In our previous report, we found that HSs at the junctions between NWs and NPs excited with near-infrared (NIR) cw light emit enhanced two-photon excitation light such as hyper-Raman scattering light from dyes adsorbed inside the HSs. In this paper, we report the electromagnetic analysis (FDTD method) of the enhanced two-photon excitation light and comparing the analysis results with the experiment.
