Preparation of carbon nanotubes, one of the next-generation semiconducting materials, imposes different requirements on their synthesis yield, the morphology of the assembly, and the semiconducting ratio, depending on the applications, which are usually in a trade-off relationship. To meet these requirements, it is important to comprehensively explore the synthesis conditions in good coordination with an understanding of the growth mechanism. In this presentation, we report on an automated synthesis system and continuous dry printing method for autonomous exploration of synthesis conditions of carbon nanotubes, which is based on the floating catalyst growth method.
