The generation and maintenance of the high temperature and high density plasma required for the realization of fusion power rely on electron cyclotron resonance heating using electromagnetic waves. However, plasmas have a cutoff density beyond which electromagnetic waves cannot propagate, causing a significant obstacle to the heating of high density plasma. To overcome this limitation, a heating method utilizing optical vortices has been proposed. In this study, we have developed a design method for spiral mirrors capable of generating optical vortices in the high power millimeter wave range.
