Micro LEDs are being developed as a display light source that can operate with high brightness and low power consumption. In particular, GaInN-based nanocolumns are expected to emit red light with high efficiency due to the dislocation bending and strain relaxation effects caused by the nanostructure and the light out-coupling effect caused by the periodic array structure. On the other hand, the current injection efficiency has been discussed in recent reports, but there is still room for improvement. In this study, we evaluated the crystal structure of semi-polar GaInN active layer nanocolumns focusing on the current injection characteristics.
