Single-molecule measurement is a technique used to measure the conductance of a single molecule positioned between metallic nanogaps. Although this method shows great potential for various applications, it is hindered by the challenge of low molecular bridging rates. To address this limitation, a deeper understanding of the molecular junction formation process during electrode fabrication is required. In this study, conductance measurements of octanedithiol were conducted, and the results were analyzed using machine learning-based classification. The analysis revealed that the formation of molecular junctions is influenced by specific regions of the metallic junction.
