Topological photonics, which applies the concept of topology in electronic systems to light waves, is an great candidate for the waveguides with the chirality and immune to reflection. The control fo photonic topology after fabrication has been a long-standing issue, and we have recently experimentally demonstrated an photonic topological phase transition using a phase-change material, Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST). We now report our recent demonstration of band inversion using nano-patterned Sb2Se3, a transparent phase-change material with extremely low loss (κ < 10-3 [3]) at telecommunication wavelength.
