Photoluminescence (PL) enhancement from quantum dots (QDs) using surface plasmon (SP) resonance has garnered significant interest. We have previously reported that PL enhancement was achieved through propagating SP using Ag deposited films and annealed Ag structures. In this work, we investigated the optimal annealing environment of deposited Ag films for the PL enhancement of CdSe/ZnS QDs and achieved a 42-fold enhancement. This result is important for applications in optoelectronic devices employing QDs.
