We have previously reported that a single-photon source, which can be used for fabricating quantum information processing devices, can be realized by combining PbS quantum dots with a nanoresonator. In this study, we propose a structure that uses an elliptical ring as a resonator, capable of determining the polarization direction of photons. This resonator can be fabricated using the sketch-and-peel method with adhesive tape applied to a thin gold film. Simulations confirmed that the resonance is sensitive to the position of the light source, thereby suppressing unwanted emissions from unnecessary quantum dots (QDs). We fabricated a prototype of the device and verified its initial optical performance.
