Light shift is the major factor that degrades the long-term stability of CPT atomic clock. A method to reduce light shift involves Ramsey-CPT resonance using the driving current modulation. However, residual light shift remains even with Ramsey-CPT resonance. The symmetric auto-balanced Ramsey (SABR) has gained attention as an approach to reduce this residual light shift. In this study, we applied SABR to the drive current modulation and observed the SABR-CPT resonance characteristics. This report demonstrates, based on experimental results, that SABR can effectively reduce light shift in the drive current modulation.
