Kelvin probe (KP) method is widely used as a technique for measuring the work function of solids in atmospheric or vacuum conditions. However, there remains much to be understood about the anomalous signal currents observed when KP method is applied in liquids. We propose "Phase-Separated KP Method," which separates these anomalous signals into displacement currents and the actual current components caused by ionic conductivity and have developed a unique measurement system capable of achieving this. In this presentation, we will report the results of our analysis of the information on potential distributions in liquids reflected by these anomalous signal currents.
