With the advent of an information explosion era, the development of large-capacity, long-term storage information recording technology has become an urgent research topic. In this study, we develop a new DNA storage method that combines DNA coding using peptide nucleic acid (PNA) and reading the coding using nanopore measurement. Experiments have demonstrated that DNA storing 1 bit of data can be read using the same nanopore. In the future, we aim to achieve 2-bit data by binding modified PNA to DNA.
