[15p-K102-5]Development of Water Treatment Technologies Using Plasma in Contact with Liquid
〇Nozomi Takeuchi1 (1.Science Tokyo)
Keywords:
plasma in contact with liquid,OH radical,PFAS
Plasma in contact with water can decompose organic compounds in water by generating OH radicals from water molecules. However, most of the OH radicals are lost through the formation of hydrogen peroxide, so we tried to maximize the production rate and efficiency of hydrogen peroxide by the plasma, and combined with an ozonizer. This process, namely plasma/ozone combination process produces OH radicals via liquid-phase reactions with hydrogen peroxide and ozone, and can improve the decomposition rate and efficiency. In addition, the application of plasma in contact with water to decomposition of PFAS will be also mentioned.
