Three-dimensional data storage technology of glass using ultrashort pulse lasers is expected to be applied for long-term information preservation due to its high data capacity and the high durability of the recording medium. This paper introduces our end-to-end research to achieve sustainable and cost-effective cloud archive storage based on the data storage of glass, especially the development of data writing technology including massive improvement of the write throughput, energy efficiency and data capacity.
