FeSe and FeSe-based intercalated compounds are known to be a type of iron-based superconductors and to correlate with their interlayer distance and Tc. On the other hand, the interaction between the organic intercalants and the FeSe layers and their effect on the superconducting properties is still unclear. If molecules with high self-assembly properties are used as intercalants of FeSe-based intercalation compounds, it may be possible to reveal structural property correlations in the superconducting properties through the formation of highly structurally ordered organic layers. In this study, we have attempted to intercalate FeSe using tripodal triptycene which is a propeller-shaped molecule with two-dimensional assembly properties and investigated their structures and superconducting properties.
