Potassium ion electrets (KiE) have attracted attention as a material for stable vibration power generation. KiE is a negatively charged material, and we have discovered through theoretical calculations that the origin of this negative charge accumulation may be the SiO5 structure formed by five-coordinated Si, and have confirmed the possibility of the existence of the SiO5 structure many times through theoretical calculations. However, the SiO5 structure is not easily observed experimentally. In this study, we explore the characteristic properties of the SiO5 structure using first-principles calculations and discuss the confirmation of the SiO5 structure through experiments.
