Keywords:
magnetic thin film,polar Kerr effect
The magneto-optical (MO) cavity, composed of a magnetic stacked films utilizing optical interference, enables the realization of the upper limit of the MO effect, achieving magnetic Kerr rotation angles of ±90°. In this study, we investigated the MO characteristics of magnetic nanostructures combining MO cavities with nanoparticles. A unique wavelength-dependent MO behavior was observed, which was revealed to arise from two regions with distinct MO polarities and coercivities. Each of these regions was found to function as an independent cavity.
