Power generation from graphene and water flow interface is a promising energy source for sensor-driven applications. To elucidate the power generation mechanism, which remains partially understood, this study investigates the dependence of the generated current on the angle between the current direction and the water flow.
The results demonstrate that the current generated on graphene increases as the angle between the current direction and the water flow decreases. This finding supports the quantum friction mechanism, wherein graphene converts momentum transferred from water molecules into electric current.
