Numerical simulations of space-time (ST) surface plasmons, the surface-wave counterparts of ST wave packets—a class of structured light—were conducted to investigate the electromagnetic field distribution and the dependence of spin angular momentum (SAM) on group velocity, within the framework of a Minkowski model.
The SAM in each dimensional component exhibits characteristics such as positive/negative inversion and spatial structural variations, which are influenced by the propagating medium and the group velocity.
