Depolarization of circularly polarized light in biological tissues depends on the ratio of cancerous cell in the tissue, which is useful for cancer detection. For systematic experiments, we fabricated biological phantoms consisting of polystyrene (PS) beads and UV-resin. To ensure uniform dispersion of PS beads in UV-resin is one of the critical issues. In this study, we modified PS beads with the surfactant sodium dodecyl sulphate solutions and investigated the effect by the optical coefficients identified with the reverse Monte Carlo methods and the circular depolarization.
