[16p-K310-5]KPZ-BKT Universal Class for Kinetic Roughening on (001) Surface and its Temperature and Driving Force Dependence

〇Noriko Akutsu1, Yoshihiro Kangwa1 (1.RIAM, Kyushu Univ.)

Keywords:

surface rougheness on the nanometer scale,KPZ universality class,two-dimensional polynuclear growth

Kinetic roughening of surfaces and interfaces is generally believed to belong to the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless (BKT) universality class. The existence of kinetic roughening that belongs to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class, which is atomically smooth but thermodynamically rough, will be demonstrated using the Monte Carlo method. A temperature and driving-force diagram for the surface roughness will also be shown.
