Cellulose is found not only in trees but also in vegetables and fruits, and lignin and pectin were considered important to create cellulose nanofibers from vegetables. Since lignin is the role of condensing cellulose and pectin is the role of connecting cellulose, we thought that it would be possible to create cellulose nanofibers from vegetables if lignin could be removed and pectin could be made present.
