The purpose of this study was to improve the hydrogen generation efficiency of a highly durable a-C electrode, which can provide photocatalytic activity through the addition of Si. The raw materials were introduced into the chamber using a vaporizer to incorporate a high concentration of pyridinic N into the graphite framework of the previously prepared a-C electrode by plasma irradiation. CV measurements were performed in 0.1 M H2SO4. The results of CV measurements in 0.1 M H2SO4 showed that the introduction of pyridinic N enhanced the catalytic activity for hydrogen generation.
