In the development of quantum communication technology using single photons, multimodal and broadband quantum memory is required to increase information capacity. Our group has previously extended the storage bandwidth to the terahertz range by utilizing quantum dot ensembles (QDs) in photon echo (PE) methods, successfully storing ultra-weak femtosecond pulses. However, the PE generation efficiency was extremely low. In this study, we revisited the sample fabrication conditions and achieved high efficiency by optimizing the cavity length through etching.
