INSPIRE is an X-ray and gamma-ray camera onboard the small satellite GRAPHIUM, employing GAGG scintillators. However, GAGG has the issue of lacking in-orbit demonstration. In this study, a proton irradiation test on GAGG was conducted in 2015, and its activation characteristics were analyzed based on gamma-ray spectrum measurements. This analysis evaluated the emission of nuclear gamma rays, the impact on INSPIRE observations, and estimated the count rate originating from activation-induced background
