We reports on evaluation of the structural and physical properties of silica glass surfaces under various humidity conditions to elucidate their wetting dynamics in the atmosphere. Observations using FM-AFM and PFT-AFM showed that higher humidity increases the adhesion force on the glass surface, which in turn causes granular structures to form on the glass. These findings suggest that silica glass surfaces dissolve even in atmospheric conditions.
