Mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) is an analytical technique that visualizes the distribution of multiple compounds in a sample. We have developed a tapping-mode scanning probe electrospray ionization (t-SPESI) technique. In this study, we used t-SPESI to perform MSI of mouse brain sections treated with a drug containing ACR and PEG, with the aim of visualizing its distribution in the brain. In this presentation, we will discuss the brain distribution of ACR and PEG in detail.
