The rapid spread of AI has created a demand for higher performance, especially higher density, memory. To achieve higher density using two terminals, a selector is required to suppress leakage current. The electronic properties of the amorphous chalcogenides used as selectors are still unclear, which is an obstacle to improving their performance. Therefore, we focused on the binary chalcogenide Sb-Se. We used photothermal deflection spectroscopy to observe the change in density of states due to heat treatment.
